Eligibility:
The admission of students to B.A./B.Sc. Part I class is open to candidates who have passed the Higher Secondary part II Examination (10+2) of J&K State Board of School Education or any examination recognized as equivalent thereto. The admission is given strictly on the merit basis in accordance with the College intake capacity for different streams/subjects fixed by the Higher Education Department/University of Jammu and for candidates belonging to categories as per S.R.O. 126 dated: 28.06.1994 and as amended from time to time. The percentage will be calculated by adding 5% of the total marks to the actual marks obtain by such candidates. Further a candidate who has been placed under reappear category in one subject in B.A./B.Sc. Part I Examination shall also be eligible to seek provisional admission to B.A./B.Sc. Part II class on his/her own risk and responsibility on the clear understanding that he/she will have to clear the backlog within the stipulated period/chances prescribed by the University of Jammu, failing which his/her admission shall stand cancelled.
Admission Schedule & Procedure
No change of combination shall be allowed after the admission without the permission of the Principal.
Certificates to be submitted:
A student seeking admission should present himself/herself personally along with the parent/guardian at the College and shall present the following documents:
1. Marks certificates in original of the qualifying examination (along with two attested copies of the same).
2. i) Provisional/Character certificates in original from the Head of the Institution last attended in case of regular students.
   ii) Provisional certificate from the J&K State Board of School Education and Character certificate from a first class magistrate/DSP of the area in case of private students.
3. Date of Birth certificate/Secondary School certificate issued by the J&K State Board of School Education.
4. Three copies of the passport size photograph.
5. Category certificate (attested copies).
6. Income certificate (only for those who want to apply for scholarship/financial assistance).
7. However, the students who have passed their qualifying examination from an institution other than the J&K State Board of School Education shall have to submit the following documents in addition to the above:
   i) Migration certificate in original from the Board/University from which the student has passed the qualifying examination.
   ii) Eligibility certificate from the University of Jammu.
No re-admission shall be granted to the failure students under any circumstances.
Affidavit/Undertaking from the Students:
The undertaking in the form of an affidavit on non-judicial stamp paper of Rs. 5/- duly attested by Notary.
Cancellation of Admission
1. If a student remains absent continuously for 10 days without any genuine reason, his/her name shall be struck off from the College roll and he/she will not be re-admitted under any circumstances.
2. Any student found indulging in any undesirable activity in the College shall be dealt under rules to the extent of rustication from the College.
